Big Heart x High River Food for Thought

We couldn’t be more excited to share how our 3rd Big Heart project for High River Food for Thought turned out!

When reviewing their application, we fell in love with the work that High River Food for Thought was doing for our community, and we couldn’t wait to dive in and explore how we could help them grow their impact.

If you aren’t familiar with High River Food for Thought, their mission is to ensure that every child has reliable access to healthy food every school day. Their program helps children grow up great by supporting families who are struggling financially but also those whose parents have become overwhelmed and frequently forget to send lunches with their children to school.

The Game Plan

When we hopped on a call to see where their organization needed us most, the program coordinator shared that what she really needed was a game plan for social media to attract more volunteers, sponsors and donors. They wanted to showcase the work they do every day to ensure that every child in our community has access to a healthy meal at school.

The goal was simple - we needed to build awareness so we could bring in more engagement from the community and make it possible for them to continue to serve the kids in our communities who need it most.

With this project, our creative team wanted to build a social media plan that was easy to execute, yet very intentional, to help their organization make the most of every single post.

We worked together to not only give their social media presence a more cohesive look, but also outlined a strategy that was easy for their lean team to follow.

Once we nailed down a look, we created a set of easy-to-use templates to make it super simple for the organization to highlight what they are doing.

We finished up with an in-depth training session to walk through the how-to’s and best practices to make this strategy come to life.

We can’t wait to watch them take the game plan and make it their own in the coming months. We invite you to take a moment to follow them on social media and tag anyone you know who would like to join them on their mission of ensuring each and every child in our community has a healthy lunch at school.
