Announcing the Second Big Heart Grant of 2025: It Takes a Village Okotoks

In keeping with our ongoing dedication to uplifting and supporting our community, we’re thrilled to share that It Takes a Village Okotoks has been selected as the recipient of the second Big Heart Grant of 2025. Through this initiative, we’re proud to provide a $5,000 Grant of Services — including an updated website and tailored marketing support — to help them continue their incredible work.

It Takes a Village Okotoks (ITAV) is a registered non-profit serving families in the Foothills area of Alberta. Founded by local parents who recognized a need in the community, ITAV provides free essential baby items during a child’s first year — including diapers, clothing, car seats, cribs, and more — ensuring families feel supported, safe, and cared for. Their programs are compassionate, non-judgmental, confidential, and community-focused, helping parents navigate the early months of parenting with practical support and reassurance.

How We’ll Help

In the coming weeks, we’ll be working closely with the ITAV team to understand their goals and priorities for 2025. Through our $5,000 Grant of Services, we’ll provide customized marketing and communications support — including updating their website — to help amplify their incredible work. This may include refining their messaging, enhancing their online presence, and supporting upcoming initiatives.

Community care is at the core of ITAV’s mission, and we’re honored to help them continue strengthening families in the Foothills area.
